Please join Oregon LERA for a timely program on the 2017 amendments to the Oregon Equal Pay Act to go into effect January 1, 2019. The panel will provide perspectives on tips for management to implement its requirements and tips for unions on monitoring implementation and explaining requirements to members. Panelists will examine:
- How the Equal Pay Act expands existing law and the new potential penalties for violations;
- Key terms such as “work of a comparable character,” “pay equity analysis” and “systems;” and
- How implementation of the Equal Pay Act may affect bargaining.
